The Certified Internet of Things Security Practitioner (CIoTSP) course is a 3-day hands-on training designed for professionals tasked with securing modern IoT ecosystems. As organizations increasingly deploy smart devices across critical infrastructure, manufacturing, and consumer environments, the risks to data, privacy, and safety continue to grow.
This course equips learners with practical, vendor-neutral strategies to design and manage secure IoT systems. Participants will explore real-world threats, assess vulnerabilities across web/cloud interfaces, and implement strong encryption, access controls, and privacy protections. Learners will also address software patching, secure coding, physical security, and the intricacies of securing IP, wireless, mobile, and edge networks.
Through guided modules, you’ll gain the skills to:
Prevent injection attacks, session flaws, and XSS/CSRF exploits
Safeguard sensitive data at rest, in use, and in motion
Monitor IoT systems for unauthorized access or tampering
Harden device endpoints and mitigate firmware vulnerabilities
This course is ideal for IoT professionals who already understand the basics of IoT (e.g., through the CIoTP certification) and are ready to specialize in security. Upon completion, participants are prepared for the CertNexus CIoTSP (ITS-110) certification—recognized across industries for IoT cybersecurity readiness.
